I think the course is very interesting and enlightening in that it tells you what quant trading is really about and how mathematics can be applied in forming strategies that can make money. The course introduces a lot of branches of mathematics, each of which can be a complex field itself. Though students can only have a taste of the various deep mathematics that are used to build the trading strategies, the course serves to illustrate what it takes to become a good quant trader. A good thing about quant trading is, contrast to traditional value investment, as long as you have done enough study on the trading strategies, you can have a clear picture of the performance of the strategy even before putting money into it, because all the consequences are backed by solid mathematics. —(20279889)
